(WGHP) — The hottest weather since last summer is rolling into the Piedmont. Get ready for several days in the 90s. Our last time hitting 90 was August 30, 2024, 291 days ago.
Due to the heat and humidity today, we expect a few isolated showers and thunderstorms through this evening, then partly cloudy overnight. Lows near 72. Partly sunny tomorrow with a high near 90. The chance for a shower or thunderstorm tomorrow will be low at 30%. On Thursday, the chance goes back up to 50% as a cold front moves into the Piedmont. Highs again near 90.
Behind the front, the temperature will drop slightly on Friday and the humidity will lower. Sunny and 87 on Friday. Saturday with sunshine, back to 90. Sunday will be sunny and reach 92.
Early next week, it will be Mostly Sunny on Monday with a high of 93. Mostly Sunny on Tuesday and 94. Lows at night in the low to mid 70s.
