Two hospitalized after Wednesday night stabbing in Lynchburg, police say

Two people were transported to the hospital for serious injuries after stabbing each other in Lynchburg Wednesday night, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

Authorities told 10 News that the incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. in the general vicinity of First and Federal Street and involved a 62-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman.

We’re told that the stabbing happened after an altercation between the two individuals who know one another.

Officers say of the two victims, one has been released from the hospital, while the other is still there in stable condition.

There is no threat to the public at this time, according to the police department.
