(WGHP) — Get ready for increasing heat and humidity.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny, hot and humid with highs in the lower 90s. When you factor in the humidity, it will feel like our temperatures are in the low to middle 90s.
Wednesday, we’re expecting mostly sunny, very hot and muggy conditions with highs in the middle 90s. Our heat index or feels-like temperatures will be near 100 degrees.
Heat and humidity will continue into Thursday with highs in the middle 90s. Our feels-like temperatures or heat index will be around 100 degrees. Thursday will also carry a slight chance for an isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorm.
A cold front will approach and stall across the Carolinas beginning on Friday. With the front in the region, the Piedmont will have a better chance for scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Highs on Friday and Saturday will be in the upper 80s. There is a 40% chance of rain.
Sunday, we’re forecasting scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs in the middle 80s. The chance of rain is 50%.
Labor Day Monday is expected to bring partly cloudy skies with highs in the middle 80s. The chance of rain is 30%.
