KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — As tornado watches and warnings swept into North Carolina, the City of Kannapolis has confirmed a tornado in city limits, WCNC reports.
The tornado formed near the Lane Street and Interstate 85 exit.
No one was hurt, but the city says there has been minimal property damage, according to WCNC.
Winds took down some power lines.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
