Randolph County man who was missing for a month after driving to Mexico found in Alabama

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man who had been missing for a little under a month has been found, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a missing persons report for 43-year-old Craig Wesley Cox who was last seen on Feb. 12 on Craven Branch Road in the area of Siler City and Coleridge at around 7:30 a.m.

Cox was verified to have entered the state of Texas on Feb. 13 and crossed the border into Mexico, according to investigators. He re-entered the United States, still driving the Ford F-150 and drove north towards San Antonio.

He had last been seen in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area on Feb. 13 and Feb. 15.

Cox was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System and is considered a missing person nationwide.

On Saturday night, Cox was located in Hoover Alabama, according to the sheriff’s office. A family friend who lives in Hoover helped to locate Cox.
