A local Latino organization is gaining more traction as they promote networking opportunities for businesses in Roanoke and the New River Valley.
Nuestro Comercio Latino is highlighting hundreds of area Latino entrepreneurs.
It started as an online platform, but now it’s turned into a network that hosts gatherings and finds resources for entrepreneurs.
The co-founders, Kat Pascal and Jimmy Delgado, help find grant money to support the community they identify with as children of immigrants.
“We notice there is a little bit of a gap between people that have businesses in the Hispanic community and the American people, consumers,” Delgado said. “So we are trying to close that gap.”
They plan to host another networking gathering in December.
