One person is in custody and another suspect is wanted for a robbery that occurred at the Woodforest Bank inside Walmart on Commonwealth Boulevard in Martinsville, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say Nicole Rena Robinette has been taken into custody and charged with one count of robbery.
William Robert Schandel Jr. is currently wanted for robbery, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies say they received an alarm call at Woodforest Bank just before 2 p.m.
When deputies arrived on scene, they learned that a white man, later identified as Schandel, was wearing glasses with long dark-colored hair, a black hat, a gray shirt, and dark-colored pants entered the bank and walked up to the teller.
They say Schandel held up a note demanding money from the teller.
Schandel then took an undisclosed amount of money from the teller and left the bank.
Investigators say they later learned Schandel exited the Walmart and then went into Lowes on Commonwealth Boulevard in Martinsville.
They say Schandel removed the dark-colored wig and glasses before entering Lowes. Once inside, he purchased a shirt, hat, and a pair of black shoes and changed into the new clothes in the Lowes restroom before exiting the store.
Deputies say a white female, later identified as Robinette, was driving a GMC truck and dropped the male off at Walmart and they believe the male suspect was later picked up by the same truck.
They say the investigation is ongoing.
