FOX8 donates $1,000 to GO FAR, Every Snout Counts in honor of local Remarkable Women winner Robin Lindsay

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — In honor of Robin Lindsay winning the title of 2024 Remarkable Woman of the Piedmont Triad, FOX8 is donating $1,000 to the charities of her choice: GO FAR and Every Snout Counts.

On Tuesday, FOX8 revealed that Lindsay was the winner of the Piedmont Triad’s 2024 Remarkable Women contest. Remarkable Women is our way of recognizing the great contributions women have made to our nation and local communities. Remarkable Women is part of a nationwide Nexstar Media initiative to honor the influence that women have had on public policy, social progress and the quality of life.

This year, the four other Triad finalists were Bridgette Parsons of Lexington, Lizz Turner of Winston-Salem and Brenda Ward of Thomasville.

Lindsay runs several nonprofits across the Piedmont Triad that help families, children and pets. She helped found Every Snout Counts of the Piedmont Inc. and GO FAR, a program that she created to help fight childhood obesity, and she’s starting a third nonprofit called 4 Paws Spay and Neuter Clinic. She has also worked as a physician’s assistant for 30 years.

Lindsay will now advance to the next round in Nexstar’s Remarkable Women contest, in which five women will be selected as semi-finalists out of 113 local market winners. One of those five women will be named Nexstar’s Remarkable Woman of 2024. The semi-finalists and winner will be announced during the 2024 Remarkable Women Show set for May 2024.

Lindsay’s prize as local market winner is the opportunity to select one registered 501(3)c charity to receive a $1,000 donation, as well as a trip to Los Angeles, California.
