Father's Day crash closes lanes on Interstate 40 in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Multiple lanes of Interstate 40 West were closed as a result of a Father’s Day crash, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred between Mile Marker 223 and Mile Marker 222 near Exit 223 for US 29.

The two left lanes of I-40 West were closed as a result of the crash. There were are also delays on US 29.

Traffic cameras also showed heavy congestion on I-40 West.

There is no word as to what caused the crash or the status of anyone involved at this time.
