30-year-old man charged with first-degree murder after stabbing in Henry County

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is providing more information on one of the two separate killings in Henry County this weekend.

Authorities said around 1:13 a.m. Sunday, they received a report of the second killing, a man who had been stabbed at Scrub Board Laundry Mat located at 2034 Rives Road in Ridgeway.

We’re told deputies responded to the scene and found the victim lying on the floor with an apparent stab wound to his neck. Henry County Public Safety responded and provided life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities said the responding officers recognized the man as the suspect from the homicide on Rives Road. The Martinsville Police Department took the suspect into custody without incident.
