2 juveniles, 2 adults face multiple charges after reported shooting, pursuit in Winston-Salem, police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Two juveniles and two adults were arrested after a pursuit, reported shooting, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release.

Around 11:30 a.m., Winston-Salem officers responded to a call about a reported shooting in the 2600 Block of Peachtree Street.

While on the way to the scene, officers found the suspect vehicle driving away from the scene. Officers tried to stop the suspect vehicle, a black Chrysler 300, when it refused to stop, and a pursuit began.

The Chrysler crashed after officers lost sight of it in the 1300 Block of Argonne Boulevard, and the suspects inside ran away.

Investigators say the suspects got into another vehicle after running away that was found in the area.

Four suspects from the reported shooting were in the vehicle, including two juveniles. There were all taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.

Beyonce Viera Durant, 19, was arrested and charged with felony aid and abet and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Durant was given a $2,000 bond.

Jeremiah Jahovah Floyd, 21, was arrested and charged with felony aid and abet, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and multiple misdemeanor traffic violations.

He was given bond.

A juvenile was arrested and charged with felony flee to elude and multiple traffic violations.

Another juvenile was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill.

A secured custody order was granted.
