17-year-old boy hurt after shooting in Lynchburg, according to police

Lynchburg Police are investigating a shooting that left one 17-year-old boy hurt.

They said it happened in the 100 block of Cabell Street on Sunday around 6:30 p.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a juvenile boy with a non-life-threatening injury.

Police said the boy was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.

They said it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

No word on the suspects. This is an ongoing investigation.
