1 pinned, hazmat on scene in head-on overturn crash on South Main Street in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A section of South Main Street is shut down as the result of a Sunday crash, according to the Winston-Salem Fire Department.

Firefighters say that the crash occurred in the area of South Main Street and Jones Road. Two vehicles collided head-on.

One of the vehicles overturned and the second vehicle has a person pinned whom crews are trying to rescue, according to the fire department. The overturned vehicle is leaking diesel fuel and the hazmat team is responding.
