Catherine Sawyers, daughter of Denise and Calvin Sawyers, was awarded the Charlotte Yokley Memorial Award during a virtual honors program of Mount Airy High School recently.
This award is based on academics, atheletics and involvement. The 2019 winner, Owen Perkins, presented the trophy to Catherine. She will attend the University of North Carolina-Charlotte in the fall.
