Vice President Mike Pence will be speaking to VMI cadets on Thursday at about 2:05 p.m.; however, his plane landed later than expected in Roanoke.
The vice president is currently heading north on Interstate 81 from Roanoke and it’s not clear exactly when he’ll start speaking at VMI.
He will be joined by Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy who is also a VMI grad.

School officials said they specifically requested that the vice president speaks about international affairs and defense issues.
