BEATTYVILLE, Ky. (WDKY) — Drivers in Kentucky came across a disturbing roadblock in Beattyville on Wednesday evening.
Mayor Scott Jackson told Nexstar’s WDKY that an accident on Kentucky Highway 11 North left what appeared to be “animal parts” strung across the road. The incident reportedly too place around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
A photo Mayor Jackson shared with WDKY showed the animal parts strewn on the shoulder of the highway, with some spilling into a lane of traffic.

“So apparently there have been dump trucks full of dead animal parts being driven through Beattyville lately, and today they almost wrecked and left body parts, blood, and meat all the way from the Dairy Queen through town across the bridge and all the way to Booneville,” one passerby wrote on Facebook.
Photos shared to social media after the accident also appeared to show a dump truck loaded with “bones” or animal flesh. It’s unclear why or where the truck was headed.
The gory debris has since been removed. The Kentucky State Police are investigating, according to Jackson.
