A car crashed into a home Sunday morning in Northwest Roanoke.
At this time, a few roads are closed as Roanoke County Police responds to the incident. The closures start at Hildebrand Road and Thurman Avenue. The other road closures are at Hershberger Road and Fralin Road along with Hazelridge Road and Birchlawn Ave.
WSLS 10 currently has a crew at the scene working for you to gather more information.
One witness tells us that shortly after 10:30 a.m. he was riding a scooter on Hildebrand Road NW, coming back from a flea market when the car zoomed by him and then crashed into the house, which is located on the corner of Birchlawn Ave.
Another witness who lives in the neighborhood says that when it happened he and the other witness both rushed to make sure that the man who lived there was all right. The witness claims that a man and young boy live at the house and says the incident sent the man to the hospital but the boy wasn’t hurt.
No word yet on the state of the driver.
It is unclear what led to this incident.
