Roanoke City, Alleghany Health Districts to expand to Phase 2 on April 5

After the current command and increasing supply of the COVID-19 vaccine, Phase 2 residents who are pre-registered in the Roanoke City & Alleghany Health Districts can now receive a vaccine starting next week.

The Virginia Department of Health announced on Friday that citizens in Phase 2, which is the general population, can now make vaccination appointments during the week of April 5.

VDH encourages residents in Phase 1a, 1b, or 1c to register for an appointment if they haven’t already and said it will send out invitations on April 5 to RCAHD residents pre-registered in Phase 2 on vaccinate.virginia.gov

Everyone must pre-register for an appointment and walk-ins are not allowed at clinics.
