Power has been restored to about 3,300 Appalachian Power customers who were in the dark after storms hit the region on Sunday afternoon.
Currently, only about 500 people are without power in the entire state of Virginia.

More than 500 Appalachian Power customers are without power Monday morning after a storm rolled through the region on Sunday afternoon, taking many by surprise.
Most of the power outages are in Roanoke City and Lynchburg, with 452 being reported in Roanoke City and 441 in Lynchburg, as of 4:59 a.m.
