Popular winery in Lincoln County "rebuilding" after large fire

VALE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — “We will be rebuilding,” WoodMill Winery posted on Facebook after a fire erupted early Sunday morning and burned it to the ground.

The North 321 Fire Department told Queen City News that they first received the call about a fire at WoodMill Winery between 8 and 8:15 on Sunday morning.

It’s unclear what led to the fire or if anyone was inside when the fire started. North 321 FD said they are assisting the Union Volunteer Fire Department of Vale in controlling the blaze.

The winery posted that everyone is safe and is unaware of what caused the fire. Many people on social media responded to posts of the fire, saying how much they will miss it for the time being.
