North Carolina man wins $200,000 top prize after buying $5 scratch-off at convenience store

SALUDA, N.C. (WGHP) — David Webb, of Burnsville, bought a $5 scratch-off and won a $200,000 top prize., according to an NC Education Lottery news release.

Webb bought his winning Triple Red 777’s ticket from Triangle Stop Food Store on Ozone Drive in Saluda.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to claim his prize.

After required federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $143,001.
