The Roanoke City Police Department is investigating after a gun was fired at Lucy Addison Middle School Tuesday afternoon.
Roanoke City Public Schools made an announcement saying a gun was fired in the bathroom of the middle school.
School officials are asking that parents do not come to the school at this time.
Currently, the school is on lockdown while authorities investigate.
No one has been injured.
