RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Crews are on the scene of a large fire at a farm in Randolph County.
According to Climax Fire Chief Gary McGee, around 12:36, two vacant chicken houses only used for storage caught on fire.
Guilford and Randolph County fire services are assisting because the blaze began spreading toward nearby homes.
No injuries have been reported at this time. Over 80 personnel helped fight the fire.
Randolph County Fire Marshal’s are working to find out the cause.
NC 22 is closed for at least another 2 hours, according to officials.
