Mathcount team takes second

The Mount Airy Middle School Mathcounts team, made up of Kinlee Reece, Jamie Hearl, Ali Arnder, and Caden Ratcliff, recently finished second in the Mathcounts chapter competition, qualifying to move on to state competition on March 20.

In the recent event, the Mount Airy team competed against 12 other schools from Surry, Stokes, Forsyth, Davie, and Davidson counties.

Now the team will compete for the state title at the School of Math and Science in Durham.
