HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — High Point police are charging a man with first-degree murder after another man was found dead at a hotel on Saturday.
At around 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, officers came to the InTown Suites at 2860 North Main Street after getting a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Police found Kelvin Blackwell Jr, 32, of Reidsville, dead at the scene.
The suspect Refugio Z. Morales, 34, of High Point, was still at the scene and was taken into custody.
He is being charged with first-degree murder.
Investigators say the killing was an isolated incident.
There is no further information available at this time.
