EDEN, N.C. (WGHP) — A man has been arrested on multiple charges stemming from a domestic violence assault.
According to Eden Police Department, on Sunday, officers were called to UNC Health Rockingham on Kings Highway after a victim reported an assault.
At the scene, police say they located the victim and were able to identify James Edward Christley Jr., 34, as the suspect. Officers found Christley and took him into custody without incident.
He was charged with the following:
- Felony first degree kidnapping
- Felony assault by strangulation
- Misdemeanor crime of domestic violence
- Misdemeanor interfering with emergency communication
- Misdemeanor aid and abet underage purchase of alcohol
- Misdemeanor communicating threats
He was given no bond and has a court appearance scheduled for March.
