GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — At the sweetest time of year, lots of people are shopping for chocolate. Brad Jones stopped by Loco for Coco in Greensboro and found out it’s always a little sweeter when it’s made in North Carolina.
The owner, Lonnie Cockerham knows how to make people smile. His store features showcases full of gourmet chocolate made with high-quality ingredients. He says the flavor is much better than the chocolate found at retail stores.
That’s because much of it was made months ago, with plenty of preservatives to help it last. Gourmet chocolate doesn’t have any of those additives.
Loco for Coco also features other items on the menu, like hot cocoa and gelato. But he’s known for his wide range of chocolate truffles, and customers get to create their own box, whether it’s 4 or 40 pieces inside. He says, “Chocolate satisfies the soul”, and after tasting some of the truffles there, you’ll probably agree.
