Hundreds of AEP customers without power in Southwest, Central Virginia

Hundreds are without power in Southwest Virginia as winter weather moves through the region Saturday.

Below is a breakdown of the worst outages in our region, organized by power company and area as of 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Appalachian Power:

• Amherst: 571 – estimated restoration time 3:30 p.m.
• Franklin: 105
• Roanoke: 39
