Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care’s is holding its annual Port-A-Pit Chicken Sale in two locations this year.
The Mount Airy office will host a sale on Friday, June 25, and the sale in Yadkinville will be on Friday, August 6. The Mount Airy office is located at 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200 and the Yadkinville sale will be at Yadkinville United Methodist Church, 204 West Main Street, Yadkinville. Both events will run from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 each.
“If you didn’t pre-order plates, no worries, we will have plenty of plates, for folks to buy at the sale,” said Audrey Diener, donor relations specialist. “But it’s first come, first served, so make sure to mark your calendar.”
Plates will include a half chicken, slaw, baked beans and dessert. Meals are pick-up only, although some delivery is available by special request.
Proceeds are used to support Mountain Valley programs and services for those facing serious illness and their families. For more information call Diener at 336-789-2922.
