(WGHP) — A pleasant evening ahead for the Piedmont Triad with temperatures falling through the 70s. We’ll fall into the 60s after sunset tonight, and skies will become mostly clear through the evening.
Overnight, we’ll continue to see mostly clear skies with temperatures falling into the upper 50s by Friday morning. Friday looks beautiful, but a little warmer than we’ve been the last few days. Skies will be mostly sunny with afternoon highs reaching the low to mid 80s.
A reinforcing cold front will move in for the Labor Day Weekend which will help drop our temperatures back down and reinforce the dry, fall-like air we’ve been seeing. We won’t see an immediate change on Saturday but by Sunday we will. Temperatures start off in the low 60s Saturday morning with afternoon highs reaching the low 80s. Skies will be partly cloudy.
By Sunday, the cooler air will have filtered in, and morning temperatures will start off in the low 60s with our afternoon highs in the mid 70s. Skies continue to remain partly cloudy. A low chance for a stray shower can’t be ruled out but the majority of us will remain dry. The chance for rain is 20%.
Monday and Tuesday will be similar weather wise with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s both mornings and highs reach the mid 70s in the afternoon.
On Wednesday, morning lows start off in the upper 50s and afternoon temperatures reach the upper 70s. Thursday brings slightly warmer temperatures with morning lows in the low 60s and afternoon highs in the low 80s. A low chance for rain returns Thursday. The chance for rain is 20%.
