(WGHP) — Wednesday will be a warm and humid day with just a small chance for rain.
Highs on Wednesday will be about 10 degrees above normal. Skies will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 80s. With daytime heating, a few thunderstorms could form. Chance of rain 20%.
A slow-moving cold front will approach the Piedmont on Thursday. Our cloud cover and rain chances will increase. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely with highs in the middle 80s. Chance of rain 50%.
On Friday, the cold front will crawl across the state. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain in the forecast with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Chance of rain 50%.
Over the weekend, the cold front will stall along the Carolina coast. As a result, we could still see scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid to upper 70s. Chance of rain 40%.
The Piedmont will begin to dry out on Monday. Skies will be mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s. Chance of rain 30%.
Tuesday, partly sunny with highs in the upper 70s. Chance of rain 25%.
In the tropics, a tropical wave will move toward The Bahamas over the weekend. There is a chance the wave could become a named tropical system. At this time, it appears the system should remain off the Southeast coast. FOX8 will continue to monitor the system for any changes.
