Nearly 40 Mount Airy High School students were recently inducted into the Robert B. Holder Career and Technical Education Honor Society for 2020.
Candidates eligible for membership in the association must have completed three career and technical education credits and be enrolled in a CTE course in either the fall or spring semester of the year in which they are inducted. They also must have an overall 3.5 GPA with an A average in their CTE courses.
”Students must also show qualities of leadership, scholarship, citizenship, and attitude,’ the school said. Once inducted, students must take at least one CTE course each school year to remain active. Active members will be recognized at graduation with a red and white cord, symbolizing their induction and participation in the society.
The new inductees for 2020 are: Sophomores Jared Brinkley, Peter Cooke, Kandon Davis, Kaylee Howell, Jordan Hudson, Hollie James, Raymond Milian, Grey Moore, Olivia Phillips, Collin Phillips, Paxton Reece, Sydney Seagraves, Sofia Stafford, Dylan Tilley, Tyler Utt, and Mackenzie Welch;
Juniors Alexia Arellano, Jenny Cortes, Adam Culler, Elizabeth Dorsett, Kenlie Edwards, Rayden Hawks, Saige Horton, William Mayfield, Zariah Thompson, and Star Trivette; and Seniors: Jada Couthen, Tripp Gilley, Cayden Hill, Macey James, Olivia Malone, Meredith Marion, Ellie Martin, Kathlyn Mauck, Haley Moser, Ashlyn Pierce, Maria Pina, Kamya Rose, Anna Kate Tucker, and Jackson Tumbarello.
