BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A Burlington Police Department patrol car got into a crash on its way to a shooting on Saturday, according to a press release.
At 4:15 p.m., the BPD was responding to a shooting in the 1300 block of Hilldale Drive when a marked patrol car was involved in a crash with a vehicle at the intersection of South Mebane Street and Maple Avenue, causing the patrol car to strike a building on Maple Avenue.
The officer and the two people in the other vehicle were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
The names of those involved in the investigation are not being released at this time.
