Someone is alive thanks to the aid of the Bedford Fire Department.
At about 9:30 p.m. Friday night, the Bedford Fire Department helped a person involved in a crash in the 1700 block of Rocky Ford Road.
While on the way to the scene, they learned that one person was trapped under the vehicle.
Airbags were used to lift the vehicle which helped free the victim.
First responders took the patient to the Roanoke Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
