ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Firefighters responded to a home on Sunday night after it was struck by lightning.
Around 9:30 p.m., firefighters with the E.M. Holt Fire Fire Department #9 and several mutual aid companies were sent to Friendship Patterson Mill Road when they were told a house had been struck by lightning.

Arriving fire officials saw fire coming from the roof, and firefighters were able to stop the fire from escaping the third floor.
