NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police responded to a plane crash in Northumberland County to find the 71-year-old pilot was uninjured.

Around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, state troopers responded to the Federhart-Ophelia Stolport airstrip, off Flood Point Road, for a reported plane crash.

According to police, the crash involved a 1972 Bellanca 7GCBC fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft. The pilot, identified as 71-year-old Thomas Edward Eure of Lanexa, was not injured.
